It is the outstanding future project of DESY and a central pillar of the future vision "Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld": the planned X-ray light source PETRA IV. With comprehensive information, images, videos and articles, the planned facility is now presenting itself to the public with a new website.
Topics such as speed dating for medicines, X-ray screening for materials or answers to the question: "How can we save resources?" - on the modern website, the PETRA IV project team shows contributions to research topics that will be possible at this next-generation X-ray source alone.
Current articles from the world of science provide insights into research methods and new findings that can be expected with the X-ray microscope. Specially produced videos showcase researchers and their topics.
The online presence appears in a clear and user-friendly design. It is aimed at people who are interested in the new future project as well as the local neighborhood. A second visit can also be worthwhile: The research centre regularly publishes news about the facility and posts current research topics online.
