P24 EH2

Huber 4 circle diffractometer (refurbished instrument from D3)

The main instrument of the second experimental station of P24 is a four circle diffractometer with Eulerian cradle. This instrument can be used for room temperature measurements and low temperature measurements with either an open flow Helium cryostat or a closed cycle displex cryostat. At the moment a marCCD 165 is available as area detector. For higher angular resolution different point detectors can be used as well. Exposure times can be as low as 100ms/degree. An upgrade to a Pilatus 1M CdTe detector is planned.

There is also space for user supplied setups, which can be installed and tested (without beam) in parallel to experiments in the first station.

Open flow Helium cryostat for temperatures down to 10K.
