DESY Photon Science supports and coordinates science with photons and offers you the best possible experimental conditions for the solution and implementation of industrial problems and tasks. Our services range from feasibility studies, the preparation and execution of measurements, up to specific data evaluation.
In order to strengthen cooperation with industry, DESY Photon Science has created an Industrial Service Group. Our many years of experience with numerous cooperative projects have made us a competent partner for industrial companies. Our staff of specialists is prepared to offer you expert support and individual consulting. You get rapid access to our experimental stations, for which we can offer either a long-term cooperation contract or a short-term project.

Proprietary Access
For industrial companies DESY provides a direct and fast access to the beamlines. Going through a scientific peer review is not required. All inquiries are treated confidentially.
Feasibility Studies:
To check whether conducting an investigation at DESY leads to the desired results, we can perform feasibility studies up to four hours of measurement time (and scientific support) and free of charge.
Short-term access:
A fast access to the equipment is possible from a measurement time of four hours. Depending on the total measurement time, the desired beamline and whether the results are going to be published, the cost are staggering from 120€ per hour.
Long-Term cooperation:
An industrial company enters into a contract with DESY and pays an annual lump sum. Therefore the company gets a fast and flexible access to measurement times and it will be supported in the experiments by Service Industry Group. The conditions depend on the time of cooperation and desires of the company.
