DESY PhD student Björn Arndt, from the DESY NanoLab group of Andreas Stierle, received the 'Student (Young Scientist) Prize' for his scientific work on surface X-ray diffraction on magentite (001) at the 12th ‘International Conference on the Structure of Surfaces’ (ICSOS-12) conference. The conference took place from 23-28 July 2017 at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA).
