How to reach PETRA III & FLASH

Construction sites 2018

Construction sites on the DESY campus (Update April 2018).

Due to construction and road work on the DESY campus, the traffic situation may change from day to day and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The construction of the new MPSD (MPG) building, close to the CFEL building, started in January 2017. Therefore, the number of parking spaces near the PETRA III hall (bldg. 47c) and the CFEL building (bldg. 99) is very limited.

Moreover, the road close to the CSSB building (bldg. 15) is partly under construction.

The construction of the new building for CXNS (Center for X-ray and Nano Science / DESY), close to building 25f, started in February 2018.

The DESY gatekeepers know the latest status and can help you to find your way on the campus. The DESY side gate (Luruper Chausee) is usually open 24 hours a day for pedestrians and cyclists (it is open from Monday to Friday, 6 to 19h for cars), a bus stop is nearby.

Please note: Due to road work near the DESY main entrance (Notkestr.), which started in May 2017, public transportation will be affected. Please check the actual situation before you travel from/to DESY (HVV announcements etc.). Occasionally roads around the main entrance are closed for cars and buses!
