About 340 scientists came to DESY to attend several workshops, the vendor exhibition, the HASYLAB and the XFEL users' meetings.
On 28-29 January 2009, the European XFEL Users' Meeting took place, which is an annual opportunity to deepen the interaction between the European XFEL Project and the scientific user community.
On January 30, 2009 the HASYLAB Users’ Meeting 2000, followed by a poster session (~160 Poster) and a vendor exhibition with about 50 companies in the PETRA III experiment hall, attracted most participants. They got information on the status of the running photon sources (FLASH, DORIS III) and current projects (PETRA III, CFEL). Three satellite meetings took place on January 29, 2009.
