At DESY, our research focuses on the development of ultrafast optical spectroscopy and ultrafast time-resolved Free Electron Laser as well as synchrotron based X-ray methods (including spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction). Prototype chemical and biochemical reactions are developed as model reactions, including the chemical synthesis of energy storage and energy conversion materials and small biochemical synthesis optimized for high throughput synchrotron and free electron laser studies.
Master thesis topics and PhD work topics can be found in the fields described.
Lectures and students' trainings are performed at DESY and mirrored at Göttingen University, and vice versa.
