This quite complex experimental set-up combines x-ray diffraction measurements and x-ray absorption spectroscopy measurements with two different operando-cells. The measurements of the quartz-tube reactor required measurements only once an hour, while the measurements of the reaction in the electrochemical cell took just 45 minutes.
The XRD-data are collected with the large Eiger9M 2D-detector, while the XAFS-data are collected in transmission mode with conventional ion-chambers and a large-area PIPS-detector (not shown) in fluorescence mode.
This experiment was performed at P64, however, it is planned to do these kind of measurements regularly at P63.
