Measurment Techniques

The goal of P62 is to have standard SAXS/WAXS techniques available for the users as well as allowing specialized setups.

Anomalous SAXS/WAXS

The beamline optics has been optimized to allow anomalous SAXS/WAXS experiments and therefore getting element sensitve structural information of the samples.

Further information will be available once the technique has been implemented.

SAXS/WAXS computed tensor tomography

A special customized sample environment with nanometer resolution will be available to allow SAXS/WAXS tensor tomography experiments. The spatial resolution of the 3D tomograms is defined by the beam size at the sample position.

Further information will be available once the technique has been implemented.

In situ and In operando SAXS/WAXS

Currently, we are developing a furnace that will allow fast heating and cooling of samples in differnet atmospheres as well as in vacuum.

Further information will be available once the technique has been implemented.

High-throughput SAXS/WAXS

Currently, we are developing strategies to handle as much sample as possible (solid and liqued) with less human interaction involved.

Further information will be available once the technique has been implemented.

USAXS

Due to the long tube system and the capability to focus onto the beamstop in front of the SAXS detector ultra small angle X-ray scattering experiments can be performed at P62 with a resolution of several µm.

Further information will be available once the technique has been implemented.
