The MINAXS beamline is going to support two experimental stations: experimental hutch 1 (EH1) and experimental hutch 2 (EH2). Experimental hutch 1 is planned to be used for microfocus applications such as μSAXS/WAXS and μGISAXS/GIWAXS while experimental hutch 2 is planned to be used in the corresponding nanofocusing applications. Air conditioning systems in the stations are going to be separate and isolated in order to create stable conditions for the sensitive experiments. The experimental stations will be operated from a common control hutch located next to the experimental stations.
The optics are designed to deliver one focused beam to experimental hutch 1 or, by applying an evacuated beam path in hutch 1, all the way to experimental hutch 2. The experiment in the first hutch will be mounted on a table which can be moved using an air cushion system. When hutch 2 is used, the experiment in hutch 1 will be moved aside.
On the left bar you will find links to information on the instrumentation in the experimental hutches 1 and 2 as well as information on detectors and sample environments that are planned to be used at the beamline.
