FLASH was until August 3, 2025 in the second FLASH2020+ upgrade shutdown, where the FLASH1 branch was converted into an externally seeded FEL at high repetition rate. Presently both FLASH branches are being commissioned. At FLASH2 user operation will resume on November 3, while FLASH1 will start with first 'community experiments' in spring/summer 2026.
