DESY Hostel

The DESY Hostel provides accommodation in various guesthouses directly on the DESY premises - subject to availability. User have to book rooms on their own via the Hostel request form.

Check In Time: After 03:00 pm
     The Hostel key can be collected at the DESY main gatehouse any time after 3:00 pm.
    
Check Out Time: Until 10:00 am
     The Hostel room has to be vacated and the key returned by 10:00 am.

DESY Canteen

The DESY canteen is located in building 9 on the DESY campus. It is open from
Monday - Friday from 11:00 - 14:00
closed on public holidays

The combined Cafeteria/Bistro (building 9) is open
Monday - Friday 7.00 - 23.00 Uhr (Bistro starting from 17:00)
Saturday 8:00-10:00 and 10:30-15:00
Sunday 8.00 - 16.00 Uhr (Brunch only: 10:00 - 15:00)

The DESY Canteen and Cafeteria have introduced a cashless payment system. Required cards can be obtained from card machines in
- building 1D (groundfloor),
- building 9 (Canteen building, basement)
- 25f (ground floor)
against a deposit of 5 €. Payment is possible with notes of 5/10/20/50 €.
Cash payment is still possible at selected pay desks.

24/7 Lunch Station available in Bldg. 9, ground floor:
On the ground floor of the cafeteria building you can make use of our 24/7 food vending machines which offer a variety of veg and non-veg lunch dishes, salads etc. for takeaway.
Meals are cooled at °C and can be warmed up in one of the two available microwaves.
Prices range from 4,50 € - 6,50 € (Payment possible in coins).
