Alcides

Alcides Simao was born in Coimbra, Portugal. He got his PhD from the University of Coimbra. Shortly after, he enrolled into the FS-SMP group as a postdoctoral researcher in the astrochemistry subgroup, tasked with setting up and running the IR-UV double-resonance spectrometer in an exciting quest to unveil new PAHs that may spawn across the galaxies!

Alcides enjoys landscape photography, geocaching and orienteering when he is not in the lab..
