Cooling water
There are three different water circuits installed:
- 8 °C water for the climatisation devices, inlet pressure 3 bar
- 18°C water for the 19" racks, inlet pressure 4 bar, outlet pressure 2 bar
- 18 °C water for the hutches, inlet pressure 8 bar, outlet pressure 2 bar
For the users, only the circuit 3) is of interest. For this purpose, a distributor is installed in all hutches (see Fig. 6). The cooling water has a pressure of 8 bar. In order to use the cooling water, the following rules must be obeid: a) Every cooling water circuit is a closed loop. Thus even a small water leak might lead to problems for all users. b) Consequently, the connections to your setup should be installed by the DESY group MKK2 (9-3367 or 9-3362) c) Don't mix up inlet and outlet. They are indicated.
Pressurised air
This system provides very clean pressurised air with the following spec’s:
- Pressure 6 bar
- No particles or aerosols above 0.1 µm
- Amount of oil below 0,01 mg/m3
- Amount of water below 0,88 g/m3, dewpoint < -20 °c
Information about the pressurised air can be found on the EPICS server of MKK, where the pressure, temperature and dew point are stored. This information is accessible via any web-browser. To plot the history, you have to select one (or more) of the following parameters.
- WK:K:47d:1:P_ExpH_ai air pressure for experimental hall
- WK:K:47d:1:CTPD_ExpH_ai dew point of pressurised air
