Interior view of the PETRA III experimental
hall “Max von Laue“ at an early stage (2009).
Introduction
- the infrastructure of the hutches,
- the infrastructure of the lab rooms (ground floor) and the work space (first floor),
- the design and installation of trays for all media for the hutches,
- the shielding of the tunnel within the hall,
- a system to detect possible vibrations within the hall,
- a beamline information system.
To be more specific, the hutches and lab rooms have to be equipped with a quite complex infrastructure in order to fulfill the various requirements of the people performing the experiments. This comprises electrical power, ethernet, cooling water, climatization, electronics racks with water cooling, gas supply and an isolated ring line with liquid nitrogen.
Exhaust systems for the hutches and the gas cabinets are required. Obviously, some of these components have to be planned in close collaboration with the safety group.
