Virtual Laboratory for Instrumental Analysis (VIA)

VIA offers complementary analytical methods to the X-ray measurements at PETRA III. Depending on the techniques chosen, two types of multimodal measurements are possible:

Online measurements at the beamline, performed simultaneously with the X-ray experiment, allow the characterization of one and the same sample with different methods. This can be particularly important for in situ or operando studies.

Offline measurements in dedicated laboratories, either performed in parallel to a beamtime or for preparation and post-processing of an experiment.
