Göttingen Campus

The group FS-SCS is divided into a research branch at the Göttingen Campus (Max Planck Institute for biophyscial Chemistry, MPIbpC, and the Institute for X-ray Physics at Göttingen University) and a research branch at FS-DESY in Hamburg.

In Göttingen, our research focuses on the development of ultrafast optical spectroscopy tools, chemical synthesis of energy storage and energy conversion applications as well as biochemical synthesis and analysis. At DESY, ultrafast time-resolved Free Electron Laser and synchrotron based X-ray methods are developed for chemical and biochemical reaction studies. Also here, chemical and biochemical syntheses are optimized for synchrotron and free electron laser studies.
