Detectors

Different detectors are used to monitor the incident beam intensity and measure the nuclear resonant forward and inelastic signals.

- The incident beam intensity upstream the high resolution monochromators and the intensity of the high resolution beam are monitored by gas ionisation chambers with a path length of 100 mm, or, alternatively, by Si-pin-diodes.

- The nuclear scattering signals are counted by different Avalanche-Photo-Diode (APD) detectors.
